Amie has been involved in horses all her life – in the early days it was pony club and riding ponies,
and then in 1990 La Yuqwam Miniature Horses was established with her family.
At the age of 19 Amie was accredited with the Equestrian Federation of Australia as a judge, and has
had extensive
judging appointments over in New Zealand, where her reputation is known to thoroughly
and carefully critique a
horse and allow it to be presented honestly.
Amie has showed and trained for Tiny Toy Miniature Horses in Queensland, and
Lindan Park Miniature Horses in
Western Australia for many years. Some of her accomplishments
include 3 MHAA National Supreme Champions,
numerous National Grand Champions and State and Futurity Supreme Champions.
In 2009 Amie lived over in the United States of America for a few months with Reece Familiy Miniatures where she gained insight to the American Miniature Horse Industry and performed at the 2009 AMHA World Championship Show in Fort Worth Texas.
Amie is also one of Australia and New Zealands most reputable miniature horse photographers and has also now expanded her clientele in the USA where it is likely she will travel there annually.
